What We Do

Maritime towing services

Maritime Towing Service is a consulting and advising company that concentrates on helping owners and companies of towing vessels in complying with USCG Sub Chapter M, rules and regulations, as well as addressing any other inspection or certification requirements they may have.

With these rules still being relatively new, and constantly being revised, it’s challenging to keep up with everything. Additionally, many rules and regulations are not yet being enforced.

From large ocean towing ABS Load Line tugboats to small inland push boats, Maritime Towing Services can assist you in achieving and maintaining compliance with the ever-changing rules and regulations in the industry.

At Maritime Towing Services, we constantly do the homework to stay informed about the current regulations as they are revised or changed. Weather it’s the initial C.O.I (Certificate of Inspection), annual, 2.5, or 5-year structural inspection, we are here to assist with your needs.

Zachary Chauvin founded this company with the intention of sharing his knowledge and experience with those who may need assistance with inspections or other related issues.

Zach has worked in the towing vessel industry for 20 years and has held a USCG Master of Towing License since 2009. During this time, he has refurbished, repowered, and completely rebuilt multiple towing vessels. He has overseen and managed initial and all other C.O.I. USCG inspections. With him personally working on every aspect of the job, including iron work, electrical systems, vessel records, and paperwork.
